St John’s Road Block 3 Old Vine 1935 Plantings Shiraz 2014
Tasting Notes: Very expressive blackberry and crushed plum notes, with pencil lead, tar and dusty earth. It is medium-full in body, fresh and has chewy tannins supporting a good fruit core through the long, peppery finish.
Montes Alpha Pinot Noir 2015
Tasting Notes: The 2015 vintage of our Montes Alpha Pinot Noir presents an impressive bright and vibrant ruby-red color. The aromas are highly complex and elegant with a predominance of fresh blue and red berries as well as blackcurrant, licorice, and violets over a backdrop that recalls the forest after a spring rain. Its time in the barrel lends subtle tobacco and vanilla notes plus a clear echo of caramel in perfect harmony with the fruit. The palate is balanced and smooth with medium volume and sensational length, which further accentuates its fruity and floral aromas.
MITOLO 7th Son Grenache Shiraz 2014
Tasting Notes: Bramble herbs with hints of cracked black pepper underpinned with earthy, dark fruit characters of Satsuma plum, black cherry and liquorice. Grenache plays a leading role, a dark cherry lift with a seductive, almost slippery mid palate. Shiraz provides some weight to the juicy mouth feel as well as dark fruits and earthy olive tapenade characters. Finally, Sagrantino, despite its low proportion, adds beautiful dry earth, cigar box-like savoury lift with those signature tannins giving a drying, snappy finish.
Vickery Eden Valley Riesling 2016
Tasting Notes: Gleaming straw-green, classic young Eden Valley riesling, its citrus aromas and flavours on the midpoint between lime and lemon, the acidity flowing calmly on in the wake of the fruit, purity the watchword.
Featuring our fine selections from France, Italy and Spain that are rated 90 points and above.
SANTA DUC GIGONDAS LES HAUTES GARRIGUES 2012
Tasting Notes: This Gigondas is made from old vines in a high altitude, single vineyard site. Quite full and savoury, it has intense black fruits on the palate that display plenty of juiciness, despite the fine tannic structure. Beautifully sculpted, the long finish reveals blueberry hints, with more to come with some additional bottle age.
TALENTI BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO 2012
Tasting Notes: Ruby red and intense colour with orange shimmers. A wide bouquet slightly spicy. His taste is full, soft, velvety and intense. The tannins are elegant and sweet.
Chateau Le CROCK 2014
Tasting Notes: Owned by the Cuvelier family of Léoville Poyferré in Saint-Julien and with Michel Rolland as consultant, this is a fine estate with an equally fine chateau. It is dense and richly endowed with black fruits and spice. At the same time, it has style and a way with its fruit and acidity that give it a lift.
MUGA RIOJA BLANCO 2015
Tasting Notes: Greenish, straw yellow colour, bright and clear. On the nose the acid fruits, mainly citrus and green apple, “sweetened” by pastry aromas from the fine lees and spices from the Nevers oak. On the palate, the attack is at the same time mineral and silky, underpinned by stimulating malic acid nuances. In retro-olfaction some of the citrus aromas are maintained, along with the appearance of pineapple and finishing with soft nuances of heathy scrub land and vanilla.
