St John's Road Block 3 Ebenezer Shiraz 2015
Tasting Notes: Fabulous shiraz. Meaty, peppery, earthen and yet flush with ripe blackberry, even tipping into blackcurrant. Presents a fresh face and backs it with substance. Smoky oak never intrudes; only adds. No doubt it will cellar but it’s thoroughly irresistible now.
MITOLO 7th Son Grenache Shiraz 2014
Tasting Notes: Intense garnet red. Bramble herbs with hints of cracked black pepper underpinned with earthy, dark fruit characters of Satsuma plum, black cherry and liquorice. Grenache plays a leading role and provides dark cherry lift and a seductive, almost slippery mid palate. Shiraz provides some weight to the juicy mouth feel as well as dark fruits and earthy olive tapenade characters. And finally Sagrantino, despite its low proportion, adds beautiful dry earth, cigar box-like savoury lift with those signature tannins giving a drying, snappy finish.
Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc 2016
Tasting Notes: A delicious combination of ripe summer fruits and delicate floral perfume – citrus blossom and elderflower entwined with nectarines and white peaches, mandarin and cantaloupe with a twist of lemon. Intensely flavoured, succulent and crisp with a delicate herbal infusion – quintessential Marlborough.
Frankland Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Tasting Notes: An elegant, stylish and tightly-knit wine that unfolds to reveal opulent fruit flavours with savoury undertones and the dusty, earthy character that distinguishes Frankland Estate wines.
Featuring our fine selections from France, Italy and Spain that are rated 90 points and above.
Santa Duc Gigondas Aux Lieux Dits 2014
Tasting Notes: Superbly balanced, elegant, slender taste of the wine has a fine tannin structure, pleasant minerality, strong acidity, restrained notes of red fruit, long finish with hints of crisp garrigue and brackish strokes.
Barbi Brunello Di Montalcino 2012
Tasting Notes: Intense, vivid ruby red color with aromas of red berries, maraschino cherry and licorice. The aromas repeat on the palate with more hints of licorice and tobacco. Tannins are firm and a fruit is refreshed by a lively acidity that leads to a long, persistent finish.
Pinson Chablis La Foret 2015
Tasting Notes: Pale gold. Lots of pineapple and ripe grapefruit on the nose. Very ripe. Classy! Even with such maturity, still seems tightly wound. Soft, creamy, and exotic on the palate and with excellent potential.
Bastianich Vespa Rosso 2013
Tasting Notes: Vespa Rosso is Bastianich’s estate red which balances power and finesse through a combination of indigenous and international varieties. A wine with ripe fruit and a slightly new-world flavor profile. The lush palate makes it drinkable upon release, though it is structured enough for aging.
