ST JOHN’S ROAD BLOCK 3 EBENEZER SHIRAZ 2015
Tasting Notes: Dark, inky purple with red rim. A complex array of aromas fly forward off this wine – woodsmoke, leather, Christmas pudding, graphite. The palate is rich with dark chocolate, blackberry and raisins. A savoury earthiness swims around the back of the malty oak notes which appear more prominently. Well-weighted with fruit and tannin, this Shiraz is power and charm all wrapped up as one.

SANTA DUC GIGONDAS AUX LIEUX DITS 2014
Tasting Notes: The 2014 Gigondas Aux Lieux Dits (75% Grenache, 13% Mourvèdre and the balance Syrah and Cinsault) is a terrific wine in the vintage. It reveals a healthy ruby/purple color as well as medium-bodied richness, solid mid-palate depth, ripe tannin, classic notes of spiced red and black fruits and Provencal garrigue. It should drink beautifully through 2024. -WA89-91
TASCA D’ALMERITA ROSSO DEL CONTE 2012
Tasting Notes: Warm and dry vintage. Light and bright purple red. Clear notes of cassis, mulberry, raspberry, blackberry, eucalyptus and light smoky hints complete the elegant and varied nose. Clean flavor, savory, full-bodied with a little roughness due to the young tannins. Exceptional persistent finish.
BASTIANICH VESPA BIANCO 2015
Tasting Notes: The flagship wine of the Bastianich estate, Vespa Bianco was created to showcase the power and evolution that a great Friulian white can have. Consisting of equal parts Sauvignon and Chardonnay with a measure of Picolit, Vespa becomes more than a sum of its parts, a wine of uncommon complexity and longevity. Layers of fruit supported by a lovely vein of minerality which gives the wine notable continuity on the palate as well as a long, clean finish… Clearly has the stuffing to develop further complexity in bottle.
CH FONTENIL 2011
Tasting Notes: Firm and dense with dark, dry fruits, this is a powerful wine for the year, while keeping an elegant, delicious style.
