BEST'S GREAT WESTERN LSV SHIRAZ VIOGNIER 2015
Tasting Notes: Best’s Great Western Concongella Shiraz Viognier is a blend of high quality Shiraz fruit co-fermented with a very less amount of Viognier grapes, all sourced from the Great Western region. The result is a polished, dark red coloured blend with a garnet hue. Its bouquet exhibits aromatics of exotic spices, candied ginger and dark stone fruits. A sip of the wine reveals flavours of forest fruits, with hints of spice and fine tannins on the palate. The wine achieves complex aromatics and flavours over time. It tastes best when paired with rich-flavoured foods like Neapolitan pizza, or slow-cooked beef casserole.
MONTES ALPHA PINOT NOIR 2015
Tasting Notes: The 2015 vintage of our Montes Alpha Pinot Noir presents an impressive bright and vibrant ruby-red color. The aromas are highly complex and elegant with a predominance of fresh blue and red berries as well as blackcurrant, licorice, and violets over a backdrop that recalls the forest after a spring rain. Its time in the barrel lends subtle tobacco and vanilla notes plus a clear echo of caramel in perfect harmony with the fruit. The palate is balanced and smooth with medium volume and sensational length, which further accentuates its fruity and floral aromas.
GREYWACKE CHARDONNAY 2014
Tasting Notes: An alluring combination of cumquats, peaches and yellow grapefruit melds with the more savoury aromas of almond nougat, vanilla beans and marzipan – an opulent concoction that is infused with a charry smokiness. The savouriness carries through onto a wonderfully dry, but rich and powerful palate that has great texture and concentration – evidence of this wine’s low-intervention genesis.
MISHA'S VINEYARD IMPROMPTU PINOT NOIR 2014
Tasting Notes: Medium ruby-red in colour with aromas of wild raspberry, cocoa and chocolate, this Pinot Noir shows sweet succulent strawberry flavours with gentle tannins and a pure elegant finish.
Featuring our fine selections from France, Italy and Spain that are rated 90 points and above.
SAN LEONARDO TERRE DI SAN LEONARDO 2014
Tasting Notes: Brilliant ruby red, with attractive depth and decent length. The aromas are alcohol and fruit-rich when the wine is young, later mellowing with bottle age into ripe plum fruit layered over a faintly grassy background note. Dry, soft and well-balanced on the palate, it reveals a pleasing bitterish twist in the finish. Good aromatic length.
SANTA DUC GIGONDAS LES HAUTES GARRIGUES 2014
Tasting Notes: 2014 Gigondas Hautes Garrigues reveals a healthy ruby/purple color as well as ample dark berry fruits, saddle leather, roasted herbs and licorice. This medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated 2014 has bright acidity, good purity of fruit and a great finish.
USSEGLIO CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE BLANC 2016
Tasting Notes: Powerful, mineral-accented peach and melon aromas are sharpened by hints of ginger and lemon pith. Concentrated citrus and pit fruit flavors show a suave blend of power and delicacy thanks to a spine of juicy acidity and a smoky mineral core. Closes sappy, focused and quite long, leaving behind vibrant mineral and lemon zest notes.
HACIENDA TERRA D'URO URO 2014
Tasting Notes: The wine follows traditional methods, was fermented in 500-liter oak barrels with manual daily punching down. It matured in brand new French oak barrels for 18 months. It feels obviously young, still marked by some toasty aromas that should integrate with a little more time in bottle. It’s a serious, powerful and full-bodied red with lots of fruit and a juicy palate that nicely balanced the abundant, fine-grained, chalky tannins. It ends very tasty, with a supple, almost salty note.
